NON-EXECUTIVE BOARD CHAIRMAN
With a vast experience in banking, Diogo was until 2001 deeply involved in the strategic development of leading Portuguese banks, working closely with renowned bankers and distinguished business consultants in major transformational projects, including restructuring (commercial, IT, etc.), innovation (i.e. phone as banking channel), internationalization and M&A. In 2002, Diogo co‑founded TIMWE and became CEO.
Recognized as a successful entrepreneur, Diogo was named one of the 50 Mobile Entertainment global leaders in 2009 and won the INSEAD Entrepreneurship Award 2009/2010. Diogo has an MBA from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, the leading business school in Portugal.
NON-EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBER
Prior to TIMWE, Ricardo was an entrepreneur and an advisor in the digital and technology arenas for 12 years. Before 2000, Ricardo owned and managed the sports web portal infodesporto.pt, which he co-founded in 1996, and sold to Portugal Telecom in 2000.
Between 2000 and 2003, Ricardo was strategic advisor to leading mobile marketing and entertainment firms. Between 2000 and 2001, Ricardo was a Board Advisor of the leading Portuguese media group Cofina, specializing in Media, Internet and CRM fields.
Ivo has been part of TIMWE’s growth since the early stages, being responsible for the conception, architecture and development of the company’s platforms. He has worked on the mobile environment for over 12 years, launching a vast number of mobile services in several countries, from content portals to mobile payment projects.
Ivo is also responsible for TIMWE’s technical innovation, mainly on the optimization of mobile billing, specifically on the fields of partial billing, delayed billing and billing recovery algorithms.
António joined TIMWE as CFO in 2008 and is currently a member of our Executive, as Deputy CEO. He has a solid background in telecommunications, having spent most of his career in Portugal Telecom, where he held various positions from 2001 until 2008. First, performed strategy and business development and, later, became the Finance Director of Portugal Telecom subsidiaries, responsible for finance, administrative, planning and quality control and assurance functions.
Following that, he assumed the operational management of commercial operations and client retention. Additionally, António was a Board Member of PT Contact Cabo Verde. António has a management degree from Católica-Lisbon, School of Business and Economics.
VP LATIN AMERICA
Alberto previously worked for Value Partners, a management consultancy company, for over 10 years,
where, since 2011, he was the Managing Director for Latin America. He worked mainly in the telecom and media space, where he carried out/supervised several assignments, ranging from corporate strategy and turnaround plans, to organizational restructuring, entry strategies, marketing & sales plans, as well as cost efficiency.
Alberto graduated in Electronic Engineering from La Sapienza in Rome and attended the FMBA executive program at Columbia University in New York.
Luis joins TIMWE after almost 10 years in Delta Partners, a management consulting and investment firm that is specialized in the telecom and digital industries. During this time he advised a wide range of telecom operators and groups across the Middle East and Africa. Before joining Delta Partners, he has worked for 7 years in Audit and Corporate Finance for both Arthur Andersen (Europe) and PepsiCo (USA). He is a Spanish/American national and graduate from ESADE Business School (Barcelona), from where he holds Bachelors in Business Administration.
Mathias has worked for McKinsey for 12 years and has served a range of Telecom and Government Clients across South East Asia. He worked for the executive teams of mobile telecoms companies, mainly on topics of value creation, regional expansion, voice and data revenue growth in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Bangladesh and Papua New Guinea. Mathias studied Economics and Japanese Studies at Marburg University in Germany and Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo. He holds a Ph.D in Strategy from Dortmund University, Germany.
